Come out, Come out, Wherever you are!!

Dear Mikki,
Today is August 29th, according to the ultrasounds that is 17 days before you are really supposed to come  (supposedly September 15th).  Yesterday mommy and daddy took maternity pics.  We want to make sure we have enough memories to share with you once you are born.

Everyone is so excited to see you especially me.  I daydream about how you will look.  I wonder if you will look more like me or your daddy  or will you not resemble any of us.

We love you so much.  Even in my stomach you already have your own personality. I can't begin to tell you half the stories about the things you have done.  My fondest memory is you always covering your face when we try to get an ultrasound picture of you.

I honestly thought you would have been out by now. You gave a scare a month ago.  The doctor even put me on bedrest till I give birth because they saw signs of premature labor.  Now I am full term and you are still not here.  I knew my baby was a fighter, just like your mom and dad.

Can't wait to see you.

Luv,
Your mommy

P.S.  please spare me the pain when you are coming out.

Motherhood: Waiting on the King of the Jungle

How does one explain motherhood?

What is it motherhood?

How should i feel?

I see my belly grow

I feel my belly move

But I still wonder how I should respond to all these changes

The ultrasounds are supposed to be more than enough proof

But I want more, I need more

The day is soon approaching "they" say

Will this be the answer to all my questions...

Guess only time will tell

My Husband and "Eye": 2 bodies one vision

Dear Hubby,

When we got married, one of the things we heard was "and the 2 became one".  Seeing the world through your eyes has really changed my outlook on life.    We have the same goals and the same vision.  We work together to make things possible for our family.  I just want to thank you for giving me this new sight, new vision on life.

I love you.

Always and Forever,

~TADA~

Everyday is something new..."The Changing Table called Life"

Today we put up "Peanut's" crib and changing table and hit me that all these things are significant of new beginnings. Can you believe that the little things in life can represent major transformations in our lives.
In all the things we put up today the peice of furniture that had the most significant impact on my view of new beginnings is the changing table.  Think about it...there will be so many new beginnings that take place on this peice of furniture which many people have only viewed as only a place to change dirty diapers.
  1. The first pamper change.
  2. My first time changing a pamper.
  3. First time waking up in the middle of the night to change a pamper.
  4. All this will add to my first experiences of being a mom.
  5. Also makes me wonder, will "Peanut's" first laugh be on the changing table?
  6. Will his first cry after bringing him home be on the changing table?
The beauty of a changing table is that with every change, you start something new, something fresh. It made me realize that I am constantly on a changing table; it's called LIFE.

Who would have thought that a changing table could strike up so much interest.

On a side note, it just hit me that my younger brother went through his own new beginning today.  He got his first car...
Here's to You Baby Bro!!

My sister thought it would a great idea to take a pic of me blogging tonight since it is all new to me and adds to my new beginnings.

New Beginnings...

On July 29th, 2010 is my first day ever blogging.  Not sure how far I will get with this, but a friend of mine inspired me to start this.  The direction I decide to take with this is still a bit unclear, but I guess it will all come together eventually.
2010 has represented so many new beginnings for me.
  • New Promotion = New Desk (March 2010)
  • Marriage (June 2010)

  • New Friendship

  • New Name TADA

    •    TADA:  an exclamation of triumph or pride accompanying an announcement, a bow, etc.
    •    TADA: Tiffany Annie Daniels-Alcide

  • New Creations

  • New Baby on the way (TBD)

I'm going to use this as an opportunity to share all my new creations and new beginnings.   I am so grateful for 2010.  Can't wait to explore my creative side and see what I can come up with. :-)
